Synopsis by Robert Firsching

Greek filmmaker Yiorgos Stamatopoulos directed this socialistic sheep-opera under the pseudonym "Yiorgos Arion." Unlike most of the films in this subgenre, no one goes to the big city to become a doctor only to return and save his family farm. Instead, we are treated to the Simon Legree-like oppressor Antonis Leptouras (Anestis Vlachos), who drives the workers of his early 20th century farm like slaves, controlling their destinies and making them work the land all day for only a crust of bread. Naturally, a young couple -- Tassos (Thanos Martinos) and Anna (Katy Papanika) -- rise up to challenge Leptouras and those like him, but retribution is swift and severe. The good-hearted proletariat eventually triumph over the evil tyrants who hold them back, however, and all is sunshine and flowers. Mirella Tsarou, Malena Anoussaki, and Tassos Yiannopoulos co-star.
