Synopsis by Robert Firsching

The prolific Kostas Karayiannis directed this standard Greek romance about socially-mismatched lovers and their disapproving parents. In this case, Marianna Kourakou is the poor artist and Alekos Alexandrakis is the rich boy whose parents do everything in their power to end the relationship. Of course, they don't succeed and only manage to alienate their son, who leaves their world to become a construction worker and be with his beloved. Despina Stylianopoulou, Christos Tsaganeas, and Fotis Metaxopoulos co-star in the film, which is practically indistinguishable from dozens of other star-crossed Greek romances of the time. It does, however, benefit from Karayiannis's skilled direction and a cast filled with familiar character actors like Nikos Fermas, Lavrentis Dianellos, and Vangelis Kazan.
