Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Myra Hastings (Eileen Pearcy) is hunting for a rich husband and thinks she has bagged one in Kent Whitney (Emory Johnson). But Kent wants to test her love so he introduces her to his "family" -- a group of actors he has hired for the occasion. Kent's "parents" -- the miserly, oddball father and the mother with her three dozen poodles -- are so eccentric that Myra is convinced she is marrying the son of two lunatics. But she sticks by Kent, earning his admiration. When she finds out she's been tricked, however, she tricks him back by staging a phony wedding and then running away. He chases after her, however, and catches her just in time for a happy ending. This picture was based on a lightweight F. Scott Fitzgerald story, "Myra Meets his Family," which appeared in the Saturday Evening Post.
