In this program, accomplished drummer Jim Payne provides beginning students with helpful tips for learning how to play the drums. Payne began playing the drums as a teenager and has continued playing for over 30 years. He shows viewers different ways to hold the sticks, move their hands and arms, and improve their hand-foot coordination. Payne demonstrates these techniques and encourages viewers to play along with him as he presents nine different songs with blues, rock, funk, and other lively rhythms.
