Synopsis by Alice Duncan
Factory Tours 1 is an entertaining video that shows children how some of their favorite things are made. In this volume, the subjects are softballs, ice cream, TV news broadcasts, pencils, and roller coasters. Part of the How It's Done series, the program features detective Howie Dunn and his yo-yo slinging sidekick, Higibigibee. The characters present a mix of comedy, corny jokes, and digressions - delivering, in the process, useful factual information in a way that children will find memorable and interesting. The director explains that he created these tapes for both children and their parents, so they can watch them together and have fun.
