Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Filmmaker Nicole Torre allows the American public to view their addiction to oil from the unique perspective of the Houston oil tycoons who fuel their private jets with the money we pay at the gas pump. For decades, American politicians have been warning the public that growing dependence on foreign oil could yield grave consequences. At the onset of the 21st Century, those repercussions have become frighteningly clear. Now, as domestic oil production continues its sharp decline, the sustainable energy sector searches for a viable alternative to petroleum. In addition to hearing from the obscenely wealthy oil men who shamelessly use fear to manipulate the price at the pump, we also hear from the innovators who strive to create a source of energy that will be both environmentally sound, and affordable to the masses.
