In their youth, visual artists Anja (Andrea Bræin Hovig) and Tomas (Stellan Skarsgård) bonded over their shared passion for creative expression, embarking on an intense love affair spanning several decades. Though their connection remains strong, a terminal diagnosis for Anja challenges the strength of their fortitude, sending the artists through a gamut of emotions as they navigate such an unexpected change to both their relationship to one another and their art.
