Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

A U.S. Marine returns home from Iraq on furlough, and finds his fate entwining with those of four others who are searching for meaning in an uncertain world. Wandering into the terminal after his plane touches down, the solitary Marine (Fran Kranz) quickly realizes that no one is standing there to greet him. The deeper the soldier ventures into the Northwest coast to locate his long-lost father (Whip Hubley), the stronger his connections grow to the people he meets along the way, like the embittered veteran of the first Gulf War, the step-mother he's never met, and the kindly British stewardess (Elize du Toit) he befriended on his flight home. When a body washes ashore on a nearby beach, the lives of everyone involved begin to transform. In time, the soldier realizes that he does have something to return to, and it's beckoning to him from halfway around the world.
