Synopsis by Janiss Garza
In this Western meller, Alfred Whitman plays Tom Evans, the rough-riding range boss at the Double X Ranch. When Clara, a schoolteacher (Nell Shipman) arrives from the East, she is taken with Evan's daring ways and marries him. Evans' partner, Blackie (Joe Rickson), however, disapproves of the match and he happily notes that Clara has become bored with Evans now that he's settled down to domestic life. Blackie offers her excitement and she runs off with him. But he soon grows tired of her and leaves her at a roadhouse where she becomes a dance hall girl. Blackie, meanwhile, robs some stagecoaches and the vengeful Clara sets it up so that her estranged husband can capture him. Clara is shot by Blackie in the melee, but the villain, too, gets his due. Evans goes back home to Elsie, the storekeeper's daughter (Patricia Palmer), who loved him all along.
