Synopsis by Hal Erickson

One of several weekly series on the "new" AMC cable network (which, in order to accommodate commercials and newer releases had only recently changed its name from American Movie Classics to American Movie Channel), this 30-minute effort was a tribute to the fearless men and women who performed filmdom's most dangerous stunts. Each episode focused on a different film--Spawn, GoldenEye, Men in Black and the like--going behind the scenes to demonstrate how stunts were planned, worked out and peformed. Curiously, the series was "sold" on the basis of its interview segments, which concentrated not on the stunt performers but on such stars as Bruce Willis, Will Smith, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson and The Rock. Hollywood's Greatest Stunts debuted October 4, 2002.
