Synopsis by Mark Deming

Unlikely alliances are formed during a holiday tour in this comedy from the Czech Republic. A busload of vacationers hop aboard a bus (driven by two men named Karel) for a package tour that will take them to the seashore. Along with the drivers and the aggressively perky tour guide, the travelers include a pair of teenage girls with boys on their mind, a thirtysomething single woman who is accompanied by her parents and worried about her romantic future, a briefly successful songwriter who strikes up a friendship with her, a very out-of-the-closet gay couple, a straight-laced couple trying to shelter their children from "inappropriate" influences, a diving enthusiast who has a fetish for watching women swim underwater, and an elderly woman who is trying to relive a youthful adventure with the help of two of her friends. Some of the travelers fall in love, some face disappointments, and all walk away changed in some small way. Ucastnici Zajezdu (aka Holiday Makers) received its world premiere at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival.
