Synopsis by Betsy Boyd
Part of the History's Turning Points series, which explores pivotal moments in world history, History's Turning Points: The Battle of Tsushima describes the day in 1902 when Japanese forces ravaged the Russian town of Port Arthur. Armed with brightly painted ships and highly trained officers, Admiral Togo made his proud stand, a gesture for his homeland. Togo conquered the Russian navy, thanks in part to the intellectual assistance of his mentor, Admiral Nelson. After this day, Asia would exist as a more powerful continent. The program uses on-location dramatizations to tell the story.
