Synopsis by Carrie Downes

Perhaps the most controversial artifact of Christianity, the supposed burial garment of Jesus Christ known as the Shroud of Turin has baffled scholars and scientists for centuries. First appearing in 1357, the faded linen Shroud depicting the faint image of a man believed to be Christ is still being analyzed to this day and has yet to be proven either authentic or a forgery. This installment of History's Mysteries takes viewers on an engaging quest to discover the origins of the Shroud and decipher the scientific evidence that could perhaps unravel this medieval mystery.
