Part of the History's Ancient Legacies video series, which revisits the world's lost cities and forgotten landmarks to examine history firsthand, History Ancient Legacies: Hadrian's Wall tells the story of the Roman Emperor's landmark wall. During the Roman occupation of Britain, Hadrian ordered the wall's construction to draw a line marking the northern boundary of the all-powerful Roman Empire. The video features scholarly commentary and present-day location footage. Three-dimensional animation sequences depict specific landmarks in their prime, and attempt to convey ancient-world atmosphere.
