Synopsis by Nathan Southern
This documentary represents the second in a two-part series of nonfiction programs to provide a historical overview of the evolution of motion picture technology. Whereas the first volume discussed early film on a projection end, this installment explores the science of moviemaking per se on the production end, and addresses the technology of laboratory film processing. It also discusses embarrassing technical goofs made by even the most accomplished and celebrated directors.
