Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Australian comedian George Wallace plays the title role in His Royal Highness. Wallace plays a shambling hobo who manages to land a job as a stage hand. Rendered unconscious by a jealous co-worker, our hero imagines that he's the reigning monarch of an imaginary kingdom. The rest of the story follows along these same "Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" lines until Wallace's inevitable re-awakening. Better than most of the George Wallace film vehicles of the period, His Royal Highness benefits from the tight direction of Frank Thring.
