Jitka (Radka Dulikova) is a 12-year-old girl who feels the first stirring of love in this sentimental children's story. She becomes friends with a young man (Vit Olmer) who is hospitalized with paralysis. Jitka visits the man every day and witnesses his slow recovery, but she is unaware that she could have deeper feelings for him. The man is also unaware that Jitka may have a crush on him. After throwing a temper tantrum when she sees the man with his fiance, Jitka quickly recovers from her jealousy and turns her attentions elsewhere.
