Hidden is a 2015 American psychological thriller film written and directed by filmmakers Matt and Ross Duffer, in their feature‑length debut. The film stars Alexander Skarsgård, Andrea Riseborough and Emily Alyn Lind as a small family, Ray, Claire, and their young daughter Zoe, who have secluded themselves in an abandoned fallout shelter in North Carolina. After 301 days in enforced confinement, they live by strict survival rules to evade mysterious creatures they dub “Breathers”. As resources dwindle and accidents threaten their secrecy, tensions mount until their hiding place is discovered. Hidden unfolds a twist revealing that the true threat is not what the family feared, and reframes their story in a haunting new light. Producer Richard D. Zanuck's involvement makes this his final cinematic project.
