Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This single-view documentary takes on the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and interviews with various individuals paints a story of incompetence matched up with self-serving greed. The greatest failure of the U.S. nuclear safety, Three Mile Island, is laid at the feet of the Commission. Among those interviewed are Dr. Helen Caldicott, Ralph Nader, (then) Governor Michael Dukakis. The film expands its focus with a brief exploration of alternative energy development and energy conservation efforts.
