A young couple finds their dreams of getting married and going into business together falling apart during a chaotic road trip from Los Angeles to Texas in this comedy from director Chris Harris (Into the Arms of Strangers. Simon Matthews (Ian Michaels) is an ex-NFL kicker currently working a dead end job. Fed up with life in the West Coast, Simon and his girlfriend Brittany (Sarah Smick) decide to move back to Brittany's hometown of Victory, Texas, and open a combination salon/sports bar. It seems like a great business plan, but first Simon will have to ask Brittney's father for her hand in marriage. The trip gets off to an awkward start when Brian's obnoxious best friend Teddy (Matt Linhart) invited himself along for the ride, and later things start to get complicated when Brian receives a lucrative offer as a college football scout back in So Cal. Meanwhile, just when it seems that the trip couldn't go any worse, Brian learns that his father (Luce Rains), a recovering alcoholic, is back on the sauce. It's a long way to Texas, and now with his life in complete disarray, the hapless former athlete begins to questions whether he and Brittany should have ever left California in the first place.
