In this farce, Blanche Sweet plays Mavis Jerome, an actress who has just broken up with her fiancé, Homer Owen (Albert Roscoe). She goes to her brother-in-law's island retreat, but her stay is interrupted by one of his pals, John Jordan (Edwin Stevens). Her rest is further disturbed when Owen shows up on her doorstep during a storm. She abruptly introduces Jordan as her husband and for the rest of the picture, Owen tries to figure out the couple's curious relationship, while Jordan, as the title implies, reluctantly goes along with it all. Finally, Owen figures out that Mavis is not really married to Jordan, so he kidnaps her and takes her to his yacht where they make up.
