Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Even though society debutante Vivian Tyler (Pauline Frederick) is engaged to Count Belloto (Frank deRheim), she finds herself attracted to Dr. Robert Keith (Thomas Meighan). Keith works amongst the poor, and his wealthy benefactors include Vivian's father (Charles Wellesley). But when Vivian meets streetwalker Aggie May (Alice Hollister), she mistakenly believes that Keith is responsible for the woman's downfall. So Vivian tries to forget the young doctor. When Aggie later kills herself, and Vivian witnesses the act, it shocks her so much that she spends weeks under a physician's care. During that time, Keith is arrested because it is believed that he murdered Aggie, and he is put on trial. Vivian's health returns just in time for her to interrupt the court proceedings and save Keith, who is about to be convicted. The doctor is cleared and he and Vivian wind up together.
