Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Back during the silent era many people apparently thought that women enjoyed "cave man tactics" -- rough, disrespectful treatment -- when they loved a man. Whether or not this was really true, the plots to many films hinged on this premise. This Western, featuring Universal serial star Grace Cunard, was one of them. Cunard is Cherry Maurice, a dancehall girl who works at a joint run by Bill Gordon. Gordon's establishment is an unfortunate stop for any miner, since his business is to show his patrons a good time, render them unconscious with knock-out drops, and steal their grubstake. His latest victim is Jim Shamrick, who has spent the past two years developing his mine. When Gordon and Cherry attempt their scam, Shamrick does not take it lightly and he kidnaps the girl and takes her out to his mine. For a year, he forces her to work as a drudge, and during that time -- surprise, surprise -- she learns to love him.
