Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
In 2013, Danish photographer Daniel Rye (Esben Smed) embarks on a risky assignment for his employer, venturing to Syria to capture the effects of terrorism on the war-torn nation. Despite knowing the risks, Daniel finds himself confronted with his deepest fear as ISIS agents kidnap him, subjecting him to brutal torture as their hostage for over a year.
