Synopsis by Tracie Cooper

An attractive but coldhearted Latvian thief learns something about love in director Peeter Simm's film Head Kaed. Margita (Rezija Kalnina), the pickpocket in question, sets off towards Estonia after her sister Evija (Leonarda Klavina) is injured in a complicated scam. Once she reaches her destination, she attempts to steal the car of an elderly swimmer (Lembit Ulfsak), but halts her efforts due to the mistaken impression that the man was drowning. This unexpected bit of humanity leads to a friendship between herself and Adolph (Ulfsak), and it's through him that she meets a feisty dentist named Lepik (Tonu Kark). It seems like Margita has finally found her place in life when she takes in a child with a knack for figuring out cash-machine PIN numbers by the warmth left from previous users' fingers. However, the situation is complicated when she initiates a relationship with Arnold (Titt Sukk), a town policeman who happens to be Adolph's son. Fearing she'll be apprehended, Margita reunites with Evija (Klavina) and is met with yet another surprise.
