A long weekend prompts Evan (Isaac Jay) to visit his brother Peyton (Cooper Rowe) in his trailer near Joshua Tree National Park. The two hike as a bonding activity, and while doing so, they come across nine young vacationers. After feeling an instant connection with one of them, Evan decides to join the group. Come night time, they start to drink and share spooky stories amongst themselves. Evan finds one on the internet, but it fails to impress his newly found friends. Unknown to them, something sinister has already beset them. Head Count features the directorial debut of Elle Callahan.
