Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Troubled by statistics that indicate alcohol poisoning and hazing on college campuses is responsible for over 1,700 deaths and hundreds of thousands of injuries annually, filmmaker Pete Schuermann attempts to get to the bottom of a national health crisis that affects virtually every college campus in the United States. In September of 2004, eighteen year old Chi Psi pledge Lynn Gordon Bailey, Jr. died of alcohol poisoning in hazing incident near the campus of CU Boulder. Devastated, his mother Leslie Lanahan and her husband Michael made it their mission to produce a film that would inform other parents and, hopefully, prevent any more students from dying such a senseless and preventable death. By interweaving graphic and disturbing images captured during college parties and emergency medical calls with commentary by approximately thirty five national experts, Schuermann and the Lanahans wage a concerted effort to wake parents and students alike to the dangers of binge drinking and alcohol-related hazing rituals.
