Synopsis by Cecilia Cygnar

In the Haunted History series, the History Channel shows some of the most notoriously haunted places in cities around the world. This episode focuses on New York State and some of the most notorious supernatural stories throughout history. From the center of Manhattan to the small, rural towns, New York offers a rich history of both culture and paranormal activity and Haunted History brings it to life. Witnesses who have seen some apparitions walk some of New York City's famed hotels, including the legendary Algonquin Hotel, talk about their experiences. There are even stories of ghost sightings in or near famous New York landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty and in Central Park. Paranormal experts shed light on some of the stories and historians add some factual proof that places in New York might truly be haunted.
