Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Produced at the CBC's Winnipeg facilities, Happyland was not a children's program, as might be assumed at first glance. Rather, the program was a Sunday-afternoon musical variety series, spotlighting the tuneful renderings of Jake Park and his orchestra. Reportedly, the series was an offshoot of a similiarly titled regional radio program. The TV edition of Happyland was telecast from October 11, 1959 to January 10, 1960.
