Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Ruth Roland starred in this 15-chapter adventure serial as Echo Delane, a magazine writer thought to be the reincarnation of an Indian princess. She is also the apparent heir to the valuable Strange Ranch, much to the chagrin of ruthless cousin Judith (Easter Walters). The beleaguered Echo is aided by a cloaked mystery man known only as the Phantom Rider and a couple of knights in more or less shining armor: "Hands Up" (George Chesebro) and "Two Gun" Carter (George Larkin). The overabundance of leading men was due to the fact that Chesebro joined the army halfway through production and was replaced by Larkin. In this her first serial for Pathé, Roland found a rare female adversary in Easter Walters, a blond starlet whose offscreen love for fast cars was much publicized. The two squared off again in The Tiger's Trail (1919).
