Synopsis by Nathan Southern
An extended meditation on the concept and nature of love, Bollywood director Anil Devgan's Haal-e-Dil recounts the romantic experiences of three young Indian singles. Sanjana clings to a sacred view of love but suddenly must contend with the chasm between her ideal views of what love should be and the very realistic option presented to her via a prospective romance with a complete stranger who may be completely wrong for her. Shekhar, on the other hand, falls in love with the idea of love and keeps developing feelings for every woman he meets, but then encounters one who turns his life upside down. And finally, Rohit grapples with his own propensity for an all-consuming love that leaves little chance for escape, coupled with his own stubborn relentlessness.
