Manipulated by Colonel Treize Khushrenada into killing virtually all of the Alliance leaders, the five young Gundam pilots react with anger and outrage, except for Heero -- who is in stunned disbelief that he has placed his greatest enemies in charge of the Earth's military. As the other four Gundams protect him from the remaining OZ forces, Lady Une orders the OZ men at a captured Alliance base to remotely detonate the missiles at New Edwards to destroy the Gundams once and for all. Alliance officer Major Sally retakes the base, but not before the countdown is started. She broadcasts a warning to the Gundams, jolting Heero into action as she tells him to deactivate the missiles rather than letting them destroy everything in a 300-kilometer radius. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Zechs deals with a resisting Alliance officer in Luxembourg personally, but not before condemning him for his part in destroying the Sanc kingdom. Before Zechs pulls the trigger, the officer learns Zechs' true name: Milliard Peacecraft.
