Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Eminent British stage and screen actress Wendy Hiller figuratively let her hair down on the TV children's miniseries Growing Summer. Hiller was cast as Aunt Dympha, a crusty Irish matron whose British nephews and nieces had come to stay with for the summer. Whenever Auntie wasn't looking, the kids embarked on exciting adventures, sometime perilous, often hilarious. Growing Summer was seen over London Weekend Television for a six-week period in 1969.
