Having only recently reassumed the household duties, Maggie (Joanna Kerns) is a bit unprepared for her first disciplinary crisis when Ben (Jeremy Miller) asks permission to have his ears pierced. Taking advantage of his mom's relative inexperience in family matters, Ben stategically plays Maggie against his dad Jason (Alan Thicke). The result: Jason and Maggie quarrel bitterly over their individual parental skills--and though Ben's ears may never be pierced, they're certainly burning!
