Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Future Pulitzer Prize winner Owen Davis was one of the scenarists for the Kleine-Edison production The Green Cloak. Irene Fenwick stars as Ruth McAllister, one of two sisters currently being victimized by a phony hypnotist named Wilkins (Richie Ling). A murder is committed, and all evidence points to Ruth as the guilty party. But police sergeant Sims (Frank H. Belcher) proves that Wilkins is the guilty party. The trade magazine Variety praised the film for its realistic portrayal of a police detective; otherwise, the reviewer chipped away at the film's many plot inconsistencies and technical inaccuracies.
