In the first episode of a four-part story arc, Oliver (Eddie Albert) has just about had it with the laziness and incompetence of the Hooterville phone company. Drawing up a petition to demand that the utility improve its service, Oliver finds his demands falling upon deaf ears. There is no other alternative than to take the phone company to court -- with surprising results. Meanwhile, Lisa (Eva Gabor) spends the balance of the episode trying to figure out whether it is Wednesday or Thursday.
