Synopsis by Hal Erickson

A number of Hooterville citizens leave town and relocate to nearby Bleedswell, whose local manufacturing plant is in ofference of government defense contracts. Hoping to persuade his neighbors to stay, Oliver (Eddie Albert) insists that the government live up to a manufacturing contract drawn up during the war. Trouble is, the war in question was World War I -- and the contract was for a fleet of rickety, outdated airplanes.
