The Great Chefs series, produced by the Discovery Channel, presents famous chefs from around the globe, cooking favorite dishes from their renowned restaurants. Plentiful and fresh produce and seafood that is available throughout the seasons has turned San Francisco into a culinary jewel. Join chefs from the city who have roots all over the world. There's Rene Verdon, who was the Kennedys' White House Chef, Mark Miller, from the Southwest United States, and Masata Kobayashi, the original chef at the famed French restaurant Masa's. The program also features Jeremiah Tower, who is said to be at the heart of San Francisco's contemporary cuisine. The set includes six one-hour tapes.
