Through this film, children will learn about contemporary Israel. This film follows the journey of a Jewish-American student as he journeys to Israel to find the tree of his grandfather, planted by the Jewish National Fund some half a century earlier. Children will learn of the history that lies behind this tradition as well as the story behind Tu B'Shevat, the Israeli national arbor day, and the focus behind the government's project of reforestation.
