An American woman in her 30s travels to Rome in search of fun and romance. She allows a woman from Britain and a man from Sweden to live in her apartment until she throws them out on a whim. After an affair with a handsome Italian, the woman loses him when she stays out all night with another man. The main character is portrayed as an unstable woman who uses foreigners to get what she wants before discarding them.
