The history of an American art form unfurls in the one-hour documentary Good Mornin' Blues. Legendary performer B.B. King narrates this journey from the Mississippi Delta to the warfront. Told through the voices and songs of the musicians themselves, the film includes Bukka White, Big Joe Williams, Furry Lewis, Sam Chatmon, Gus Cannon, Johnny Shines, and many others. It easily follows the path of the blues from poor black farmers to the busy streets of Chicago and on to its splintering into jazz and gospel. Real footage of men at play features Willie Brown singing "The Mississippi Blues" and 97-year-old Nathan Beauregard singing "Spoonful."
