Synopsis by Robert Firsching
Shigehiro Ozawa directed this eighth film in the long-running crime series which began with Gokudo (1968). Powerful Osaka gangster Shimamura (Tomisaburo Wakayama) visits his boyhood home with wife Mineko (Nijiko Kiyokawa) in order to find his roots and retrieve his family crest. But there is no rest for the wicked, as Shimamura discovers when he becomes embroiled in a conflict between a greedy developer and some local fishermen. Bunta Sugawara co-stars in this above-average entry, which was followed by Kamagasaki Gokudo (1973).
