Through a combination of lively animation and reproductions of masterworks, children become familiar with the particular style, technique, and subject matter of individual artists. In this episode, the pioneering work of Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh is explored in an entertaining and educational presentation. The profile brings to life the struggles of the passionate artist and his relationships with his brother Theo and his colleague Paul Gaugin. The series is based upon the book series of the same name by Mike Venezia and is intended for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.
