Synopsis by Mark Deming
As the lead singer with the pop duo Wham!, George Michael became a major star in the mid-'80s, only to leave the group at the height of their fame and achieve even greater success as a solo artist. George Michael is a two-part documentary that first traces his rise to fame with Wham!, and his internationally successful solo album Faith. In its second part, George Michael offers an in-depth look at the making of Michael's 1990 album Listen Without Prejudice, Vol. 1, an ambitious set that found him reaching past youth-oriented pop into a more mature and ambitious direction.
