Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Veteran cycle-flick habitue William Smith plays a Native American in Gentle Savage. A rape has occurred in a dusty Southwestern town, and Smith is accused of the crime by the victim's father. Despite his gentle nature, Smith is targeted for persecution by an angry mob. When Smith's brother is killed, his fellow Indians seek vengeance. It's an old story, elevated by good performances and a strong sense of pacing.
