Synopsis by Tracie Cooper

Celebrated drummer Gary Husband gained his following due to his ability to adjust to a variety of wildly different percussive techniques and styles. This instructional video features Husband with some of the people he has worked with throughout the years, including Allan Holdsworth, Paul Carmichael, Jack Bruce, Steve Topping, Gary Moore, and Paul Stacey. Each act is different (Holdsworth's section consists mainly of electric improvisations, another showcases the type of bebop typical of a London nightclub), and Husband's goal is to impart his approach to playing with such different techniques. Geared towards serious percussion enthusiasts, Husband emphasizes the importance of creating a "musical dialogue" through creative interplay and improvisation.
