Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This Danish film by Yugoslavian director Miladnovic explores the adventures of a Serbo-Croatian "guest worker" in Denmark. The poor man is hard-working and slow to anger, but is not unusually bright. Indeed, he is harassed and cheated not only by Danes, but by his fellow Yugoslavian guest workers. At first he is able to send some money back home, which was his object in coming to Denmark in the first place. His witlessness eventually leads to him being unemployed, living off petty thievery until he is deported back to Yugoslavia.
