Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Hosted by popular British radio DJ Pat Sharp, Funhouse had much in common with the "stunt show" genre popularized on such American networks as Fox and Nickelodeon. Each 25-minute episode featured two competing teams of two kids each, who navigated their way through a variety of stunts and challenges, which often culminated in a pile of messy "gunge" being deposited upon the players. The lucky finalists who managed to reach the titular Fun House were allowed to participate in the final round of stunts, with fabulous prizes and a free vacation awaiting the winners. Funhouse debuted over Britain's ITV in 1996.
