Acclaimed choreographer Carmen Mota arranged the Spanish dance production Fuego! on stage, in which she fluidly co-mingles a plethora of contemporary dance motifs with Castilian tempos, rhythms, and melodies (including heavy doses of Flamenco and passages from Carl Orff's infamous "Carmina Burana"). The work utilizes eighteen dancers and five vocalists, vibrant costumes and a whirlwind of Mediterranean color. As a film of the original two-act production, the forty-two minute video release Fuego! captures all of the work's electric sensuality, enabling at-home viewers to relive the excitement again and again. Mota choreographs Act One to: "Carmina Burana," "Buleria," "Vida Breve," "Talante" and "Zapateado"; Act Two entails a series of seven flamenco variations performed in a tavern environment, including Martinete, Media Luna and Alegrias.
