Synopsis by Kathryn Tamms
The Santa Cruz Mountains are home to California's beautiful and majestic redwood forests, and it is here that viewers will find the historic Roaring Camp and Big Trees Narrow Gauge Railroad -- the last steam-powered passenger railroad in America with year-round service. Visitors ride back in history in the footsteps of those early pioneers who first settled this scenic wilderness of the American West. The program winds through the beautiful Redwoods, and on up Bear Mountain for a breathtaking view. The tour concludes by traveling on a diesel-powered train from Roaring Camp to Santa Cruz's beach and boardwalk.
